The Mid-American Conference is rewarding the Northern Illinois men's basketball team's strong start to the season – but it comes with a cost of a scheduling problem.
The MAC announced on Monday that the Huskies' game against Toledo would be moved up a day to January 22 after it was selected to be aired nationally by CBS Sports Network.
The MAC announced in the offseason that it agreed with CBS Sports Network and will broadcast 59 men's and women's basketball games on national or regional networks – the most ever for the conference. However, many of those games were on a flex schedule, with the networks and conference selecting the "wild card games," 14 days in advance.
