The rough stretch continued for the Huskies, who lost their fourth straight in their 88-80 loss to Toledo in overtime on Saturday afternoon at the NIU Convocation Center.
The Huskies (14-13 overall, 6-8 in the Mid-American Conference West) have now lost seven out of their last nine.
"Mentally, you have to pick yourself off the ground," Northern Illinois coach Mark Montgomery said. "Still a lot of season left and you're still playing for a lot.
