DeKALB – Aaric Armstead has got his offensive groove back.
The senior scored in double figures for his third consecutive game and the Northern Illinois men's basketball put together one of its best showings in conference play with a 81-69 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday at the NIU Convocation Center.
Armstead scored a game-high 21 points on 7 for 13 shooting and made three 3-pointers in 34 minutes to lead the way for the Huskies, who improved to 14-9 overall and 6-4 in the Mid-American Conference West. Over the past three games, he's averaging 15 points per game and is shooting 16 for 26 (61.
