A year-and-a-half ago, epilepsy forced longtime football coach Jerry Kill tearfully into premature retirement.
Now, after plenty of rest and a quick administrative pit stop, Kill is physically ready to get back to doing what he does best – helping turn around a football program.
"It took time to get some of the stuff I've been dealing with under control and I called it rehab, sort-to-speak," said Kill, the former Northern Illinois coach who was named the new offensive coordinator of Rutgers in December. "I decided to take this one because it was a rebuilding job and that's what I'm kind of used to.
