CHICAGO – This week is the calm before the storm for the Northern Illinois football players.
With the first practices of training camp scheduled to kick off on Sunday, the players are getting ready and enjoying the final days of relaxation before the grind of the preseason preparation gets underway.
"More training, more rehab – basically a little more training and a lot more rehab to get your body ready for more training," senior defensive end Ladell Fleming laughed on Monday.
Senior linebacker Sean Folliard joked that the wear and tear of several seasons has left his body a little more sore than his younger days, but he has a better idea of how to mentally and physically prepare for what will be his fourth training camp.
