The Northern Illinois football team is reportedly going to get its chance at payback for its Orange Bowl loss.
The Huskies will play at Florida State during the 2018 season, according to FBSchedules.com. The game will take place on Sept. 22 at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The Huskies were originally scheduled to host Idaho on that date, but that game will be bumped to Sept. 9, 2023.
Northern Illinois athletic director Sean Frazier said the games are proposed, but that he couldn't confirm the contest "at this stage of the game."
"We're in the middle of looking at a number of different things," Frazier said.
