The experiment of playing at U.S. Cellular Field this coming season could end up being a nice payday for the Northern Illinois football team.
According to the agreement between Northern Illinois and the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority – the owner of U.S. Cellular Field – the school will retain all ticket revenue up to $500,000. If the revenue surpasses that mark, Northern Illinois and the ISFA will evenly split the revenue.
