CHICAGO – Watching from the sideline as the Northern Illinois football team practiced at Gately Stadium on Saturday morning, Blue Island Eisenhower senior Kenneth Scott said he had a few offers from small schools and had discussed with the Huskies about potentially being a walk-on redshirt next season.
By the end of the practice, Scott said he made up his mind – he wants to come to Northern Illinois.
"I like the intensity – the defense flies around and gets after it, that's what I like to see," said Scott, a 6-foot-1, 210-pounder who played several positions for Eisenhower and who started talking with Northern Illinois defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator Brett Diersen in late February.
