DeKALB – Northern Illinois coach Rod Carey had high praise for Central Michigan quarterback Cooper Rush.
Carey said that Rush is the best quarterback the Huskies have seen this season as the two teams square off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Huskie Stadium.
"Ton of respect for him and his career, and how he commands the offense and how he goes about his business," Carey said.
The Chippewas (4-2 overall, 1-1 in Mid-American Conference West) are the only team in the division that Carey has a losing record against. In 2014, they snapped Northern Illinois' 28-game home winning streak with a 34-17 victory in Huskie Stadium.
