DeKALB – For the first time this season, the Northern Illinois football team is playing an opponent that has a losing record.
Needing a win to keep their bowl hopes alive, the Huskies are favored by three touchdowns when they host Buffalo for homecoming at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Huskie Stadium.
The Huskies (1-6 overall, 1-2 in Mid-American Conference West) come in as 21.5-point favorites over the Bulls (1-5, 0-2 in MAC East). Even though Northern Illinois has only one win on the year, Northern Illinois coach Rod Carey said he felt his team is close to playing the way it should be playing.
