DETROIT – The question comes relentlessly at Northern Illinois quarterback Drew Hare like an opposing defensive end.
Yes, his Achilles is feeling just fine.
"I do get the question about 2-3 times a day, but it's OK," Hare said Thursday at the Mid-American Conference Media Day. "People care and I'm glad people care. I'm glad that it feels good."
A year after coming into the summer when he had won the starting quarterback spot for the Huskies after a strong sophomore season, Hare spent this offseason recovering from surgery for a ruptured Achilles he suffered in the middle of the 2015 season at Toledo.
