The Northern Illinois baseball team jumped out offensively and won 11-6 against UIC on Tuesday afternoon at Ralph McKenzie Field.
The Huskies (15-25 overall) scored eight runs in the opening three innings and have now won their third straight contest after winning the final two games in the series against Buffalo last weekend.
Justin Fletcher went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Johnny Zubek was 2 for 4 with three RBIs and Stephen Letz was 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs.
"Offensively, we did great coming out of the gates hot and finishing the game," Northern Illinois coach Mike Kunigonis said.
