So, what do you really think about the “Huskie Chi-Town Showdown”, aka Northern Illinois University vs. University of Toledo football at U.S. Cellular Field on Nov. 9, 2016? KorcekVisionary move or potential boondoggle?
Pro: Contemporary top-level university administrators almost always look forward. NIU athletics director Sean Frazier is no different. His job is to position the Huskie sports program – as well as the entire institution – for success and advancement and take advantage of every available branding opportunity to do so. And, to me, any major NIU event within the Chicago city limits qualifies in that area, particularly with the venue – the home stadium of the White Sox.
