Sophomore outfielder Connor Montgomery added to the early lead with a 2-RBI single to right field, giving NIU the early 3-0 lead. Montgomery now has six RBIs just six games into the season.
The Huskies picked up two more runs in the third, with the first coming thanks to an RBI double from junior Kam Smith, and another on a wild pitch.
