DeKALB – When the Northern Illinois men's basketball team earned its largest lead of the game against Central Michigan, sophomore big man Marin Maric was sitting on the bench.
For the first time this season, Huskies coach Mark Montgomery used a rotation with 6-foot-7 freshman Levi Bradley at center and it turned out to work well as Northern Illinois overcame an early double-digit deficit in a 75-70 victory on Tuesday night.
"Levi was playing really well and rebounding the ball well and Marin, I thought he was kind of in a funk in the first half," Montgomery said.
