DeKALB – The Northern Illinois women's basketball team picked the wrong time to run into the best team in the Mid-American Conference.
In a game between two teams heading in opposite directions in January, Ohio led for nearly the entire contest and won 72-47 over the Huskies on Saturday afternoon at the NIU Convocation Center.
The Huskies (8-10 overall, 1-6 in MAC West) have now lost six consecutive games, while the Bobcats (15-3 overall, 7-0 in MAC East) have won 10 in a row. The Huskies committed 23 turnovers on the afternoon, leading to 19 points for the Bobcats.
