DeKALB – The points came pouring in for the Northern Illinois women's basketball team.
The Huskies put together its most dominating quarter of the season to open the second half in an 87-73 win over Drake on Saturday night at the NIU Convocation Center for the most points they've scored in regulation in eight years.
"I think it's indicating a change in the culture and it feels good to score that much," laughed Kelly Smith, who scored 19 points on 8 for 16 shooting. "To be able to push the ball up and scoring a bunch against a good team feels really good.
