Northern Illinois University’s Aregeros Turner is one of 43 players named to the 2016 Watch List for the Paul Hornung Award, the Louisville Sports Commission announced today.
The award, named for the Notre Dame Heisman Trophy winner and Louisville native known for playing multiple positions, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission. Turner is one of 43 players named to the Watch List Friday, and one of three MAC players on the list.
The versatility label fits Turner, the 2015 Mid-American Conference Special Teams Player of the Year and a senior from Akron, Ohio who came to the Huskies out of a spectacular career at Copley High School.
