DeKALB – It wasn’t the best time for Northern Illinois gymnast Megan Greenfield to post her worst score of the season last year.
At the Mid-American Conference Championships as a sophomore, Greenfield had what was by far her season-low on the balance beam, but has returned this season as a leader for the Huskies.
“I think I just over-thought it,” Greenfield said of her performance on the beam – which was 8.600, forcing her to settle for last place at the MAC Championships. “I had made those routines in the gym, so I’ve been working a lot on confidence this season.
