Juwan Brescacin originally made the move from Canada to the United States after his sophomore year of high school for a chance to garner attention on the basketball court.
Seven years later, the 6-foot-4 senior wide receiver was carried off the field by his younger teammates as part of a team tradition in his final practice with the Northern Illinois football team on Monday.
"It's bittersweet to have the last practice because you're looking forward to the game, but you know that it's the last time playing with these guys," Brescacin said. "You know that it could be the last time playing football, so you want to make the most of it.
