The women’s tennis team was notable to click Sunday as it was shut out against the Depaul University Blue Demons.
“Nothing really went wrong," said Head Coach Tanya Mahefu. "We went up against a great team.”
The Blue Demons didn’t give any room and beat the Huskies with at least a two-point lead in doubles competition.
Match No. 1 was the closest game of doubles. Senior Evelyn Youel and freshman Thisuri Molligoda couldn’t pull the win away from Patricia Lancranjan and Keisha Clousing.
The next two matches ended with the same score of 6-3. The Huskies’ freshmen duo of Lara Slisko and Maria Potsi fell to Aspasia Avgeri and Milica Tesic.
