'We still have a long way to go': Q&A with North Texas coach Seth Littrell

When Seth Littrell took over as North Texas' football coach in 2016, he inherited a program that hasn't seen much success recently.

UNT went 1-11 the year before Littrell left his post as North Carolina's offensive coordinator to take his first job as a head coach. Before last fall, the Mean Green had been to one bowl game since 2005, a victory over Nevada-Las Vegas in the 2013 Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Last season, the Mean Green went 5-7 and lost to Army in overtime in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. At Conference USA media days in July, the Oklahoma native sat down with The News and discussed how he likes Texas so far and what he wants to see from his team in his second year.
