The first season of Seth Littrell’s tenure at North Texas couldn’t have gone much better.
The Mean Green were expected to struggle to win more than a couple of games after finishing 1-11 in 2015.
UNT soared past those expectations on its way to an appearance in the Heart of Dallas Bowl, where the Mean Green fell to Army in overtime. UNT made just its second bowl appearance since 2004 as a five-win team due to its performance on the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate report and wound up 5-8 on the season.
The Mean Green will look to get back to the postseason this fall the traditional way by winning at least six games.
