The college football season is 100 days away and it really can't get here soon enough.
For those who immediately Googled countdowns on the Internet, that's 100 days until the first big college football weekend on Saturday, Sept. 3. Yes, Cal opens the season in Australia against Hawaii on Aug. 26, a game that at one point looked like it might involve Baylor. And 14 FBS games dot the Thursday, Sept. 1 landscape.
It's still hard to ignore the Best Opening Weekend. Ever. If you don't believe it now, you probably will after ESPN, Fox and CBS have bombarded you with endless promos between now and then.
