Best-case scenario
North Texas shows that its run to the 2016 Heart of Dallas Bowl was just the beginning of its rise under coach Seth Littrell and not a blip on the radar. Quarterback Mason Fine builds on his performance as a freshman and develops into one of the top quarterbacks in Conference USA. Running back Jeffery Wilson stays healthy throughout the season for the first time in his career and UNT’s defense continues to improve under coordinator Troy Reffett.
