A Longhorn getting overlooked nationally; what a bowl game would do for SMU's Chad Morris after season

Chuck Carlton, Big 12 football beat writer for SportsDayDFW.com and The Dallas Morning News, answered questions from readers in a live chat Thursday. Here are some of the highlights:

Question: Who is the Big 12's most underappreciated football player to this point?

Carlton: While this is going to sound weird, if it's possible for a Texas player with big numbers to get overlooked nationally, D'Onta Foreman is doing it. He's gone over 100 yards rushing in every game and gets tough yards. Because of Texas' struggles and the Charlie Strong talk, the focus is elsewhere despite Foreman being the best Texas back since Jamaal Charles.
