Ye Olde Waffle Shoppe, a popular breakfast eatery on Franklin Street, has announced it will permanently close due to challenges amid the coronavirus pandemic. The restaurant penned a message to its customers, saying they appreciate “all who have supported us over the years.” Ye Olde Waffle Shoppe was opened on Franklin Street in 1972 by Jimmy Chris.
