CHAPEL HILL—Freshman Caitlyn Wurzburger set a season scoring high for the second consecutive game as top-ranked North Carolina picked up a 15-4 win over No. 7 Virginia on Sunday afternoon at Dorrance Field.
Coming off a then-season-high five-point performance in Friday's win over Virginia, Wurzburger finished with a season-high six points (two goals and four assists) on Sunday.
The Tar Heels won their 21st consecutive game, breaking the record to become the longest win streak in school history. The previous record was 20 in a row (17 straight to end the 2016 season and three in a row to start 2017).
