CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina swimming and diving team defeated Georgia Tech on the women's side but fell just short on the men's end. The women defeated Georgia Tech by a 169-131 margin, and the men dropped a close contest with a score of 154.50-145.50.
The Tar Heel men's and women's records improved to 2-2. Earlier this season, both teams defeated Queens University in their season opener before falling to NC State and the University of Georgia.
North Carolina claimed first-place in three of four diving contests versus Georgia Tech. Anton Down-Jenkins and Alexander Hart took first and second place respectively in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
