NOTRE DAME, Ind. – North Carolina's women took second and the UNC men took third on Sunday in team competition at the Atlantic Coast Conference Fencing Championships, hosted by Notre Dame. The highlight of the day was the UNC women's opening meet of the afternoon, a 15-12 win over Duke.
I'm very pleased with the day," UNC coach Matt Jednak said. "This was Day 2 of a challenging event, and we were able to draw from the work we've put in all season and learn from yesterday's mistakes and come out strong today. We need to retune a few things here and there, but it was a good day for us.
