GREENSBORO, N.C. – On the heels of the best cross country season in school history, University of North Carolina sophomore Parker Wolfe became the first Tar Heel to be named Atlantic Coast Conference Runner of the Year on Tuesday.
The Carolina women finished fifth at the NCAA Championships in November while the men finished 10th.
Wake Forest's John Hayes earned ACC Men's Coach of the Year accolades for the first time. NC State national gold medalist and ACC champion Katelyn Tuohy earned ACC Women's Runner of the Year honors in a vote of the league's 15 head coaches, while Laurie Henes was selected as the ACC Women's Coach of the Year for the seventh consecutive season.
