When Bill Belichick was hired, he and a lot of the higher ups in the athletic department promised that this was going to be the dawn of a new day for the football program at UNC, including a new structure in how the team was run. It was going to be more pro-based, complete with a GM. Fans were eager to find out just whether or not we would get a new Bill Belichick that had to gladhand parents, kids, and alumni in order to secure the things he needs.
Instead—silence.
This isn’t a criticism, mind you.
