Last season, the big change to the atmosphere at the home of the Tar Heels was a new lighting system that helped celebrate touchdowns, big plays, and in general hyped up the crowd. This year the changes are a little less prominent, but the experience in and around Kenan Stadium will still be different.
So if you’re going to be heading over to Chapel Hill for a game this year, let’s look at what your Game Day might be like.
Changes in Pre-Game
After a successful year of doing the Tip-Off Club in front of the Smith Center—a covered area that sold food, drinks, and allowed a way for fans to gather before basketball—UNC has brought that concept over to football with a new pre-game celebration they are calling The Bell Tower Block Party.
