Unfortunately, we are into the zone where there are no active North Carolina sports to talk about. While it’ll be August again before we know it and we’ll be back to the fall season, right now that feels like an eternity away.
In the meantime, there will certainly be news events that pop up that’ll be worth talking about, but this isn’t that. Instead, it’s time to get into the theoretical.
As an overall athletic department, UNC does very well across a large swath of sports. Eight different sports have won an officially sanctioned NCAA team championship at some point and two others have made it to the championship game in their sport’s history.
