CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The North Carolina women's basketball team fell 62-58 on Thursday evening at Miami. After trailing through most of the game, the visitors closed the gap to one with 49 seconds to play, but the Hurricanes scored the last three points of the game to hold onto the win.
With their fourth consecutive loss, the No. 22 Tar Heels are now 9-5 overall and 0-3 in ACC play. They're back in action on Sunday, hosting No. 4 Miami at Carmichael Arena at 4 p.m.
Junior Deja Kelly played all 40 minutes and scored 19 points to lead Carolina.
