CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina women's basketball team will tackle a challenging non-conference slate to open the 2022-23 season, facing at least four teams that played in the NCAA Tournament last season, including at least two that joined the Tar Heels in the 2022 Sweet 16.
UNC, which finished 25-7 last season and reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2015, will open the season on Nov. 9 with a home game against Jackson State, the defending SWAC champion and an NCAA Tournament team in 2022. Carolina is set to play five nonconference games on its home court at Carmichael Arena, three at opponents' home gyms and three at neutral sites.
