TOWSON, Md. — The United States shut out its opponent for the first time since 2005, doing so with an impressive 21-0 victory over Hong Kong on Tuesday night at the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship in Towson, Maryland.
Marie McCool ('18) had her fourth hat trick of the tournament while also adding one assist and four draw controls. Her three goals on the evening brings her total up to 15 in the first five games for the U.S. of the championship.
After recording a game-high seven draw controls — the same number as the entire Hong Kong team —Ally Mastroianni ('21) was named the player of the match.
