TOWSON, Md. – The quest for gold continues for the United States, which has advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship following its 18-3 win over Japan on Wednesday night in Towson, Maryland.
Top-seeded Team USA is set to square off with No. 4 Australia on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET. The U.S. topped Australia, 16-5, on July 2 during Pool A play.
North Carolina players have impressed throughout the championship, and tonight was no exception. Marie McCool ('18) had two goals, one assist and three draw controls, bringing her six-game total to 17 goals, three assists and 14 draw controls.
