The UNC doubles team of Brett Clark and Robert Kelly defeated a duo from Florida Sunday in Tulsa, Okla., to reach the finals of the 2015 ITA All-American Tennis Championship. The championship match is set for 11 a.m. CT on Monday.
The Tar Heels won 6-4, 7-5 against Maxx Lipman and Elliott Orkin. “Getting to the finals of any tournament is a great feeling,” Clark said following the semifinals match. “We had a good warm-up tournament a couple of weeks ago and we won that, so we had really good momentum coming in. Everyone in this tournament is good; the draw’s only 32 so every team is good every round you play.
