The UNC wrestling team wrapped up the ACC portion of their regular season schedule on Friday night, defeating Stanford 24-9. In the process, they also claimed a share of the ACC regular season.
The Tar Heels finished with a 5-1 record in ACC matches; N.C. State and Virginia Tech also finished with 5-1 records. Earlier on Friday night, Virginia Tech defeated N.C. State 21-10 to give the Wolfpack their only conference loss of the season and open the door for the Heels to claim part of the title. It is Carolina’s first regular season crown since the 2018-2019 season.
