It’s always a Great Day to be a Tar Heel, but the UNC women’s tennis program made it even greater on Saturday evening with their 4-1 National Championship victory over rival NC State.
Carolina was the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and entered the match 34-1, with their only loss coming to the Wolfpack just four weeks ago in the ACC Championship match when NC State beat them 4-1 in Cary.
