The UNC women’s lacrosse team dominated #20 Notre Dame on the road on Sunday, winning a weather-shortened match 14-3. Storms halted the game after the third quarter, but the Heels poured it on against the Fighting Irish well before the rain moved in — they led 9-3 at the half and finished the game on an 8-0 run. Chloe Humphrey notched six goals for the Heels; she’s now scored a hat trick (three or more goals in a game) in ten of Carolina’s eleven matches.
The win pushes Carolina’s record to start the season to 11-0 — the Tar Heels are also currently ranked second in the country and are 6-0 so far in ACC play.
