Boys high school basketball wasn’t the only focus at the John Wall Invitational in Raleigh this past weekend. The invitational also held a girls bracket, crowning a champion at this year’s event.
There were a total of eight girl’s teams participating in the event with St. Frances High School out of Maryland topping Southeast Raleigh in the title game. But although Southeast Raleigh lost, one player took home MVP honors and she happens to be a UNC commit.
Class of 2020 five-star commit Anya Poole was named the MVP of the John Wall Invitational over this weekend, just adding the awards picked up by UNC recruits this year:
A John Wall Tournament MVP.
