Coincidentally, the UNC women’s basketball team is getting a week-long break at the same time as the men’s team. Theirs comes after a two-game road trip in Northern California this past weekend — and by winning both games, the Tar Heels are the first ACC basketball team, men or women, to sweep a West Coast trip. For their efforts, Courtney Banghart and her team were named the US Basketball Writers Association’s Team of the Week, giving them something to bask in as they recuperate from the travel and prepare for their next action at Clemson on Sunday.
