Grace Townsend capped off a late 6-0 run for UNC by sinking two free throws with under five seconds left and the Tar Heels blew up N.C. State’s final play of the game without letting them get a shot off to come away with a huge win against the 10th-ranked Wolfpack, 66-65. Reniya Kelly continued her stretch of excellent play by setting a new career high in points with 23 to lead her team, who played basically the entire game without star forward Alyssa Ustby. UNC improved to 23-4 overall and 11-3 in the ACC while handing State their second loss in-conference.
