After a loss to previously winless-in-conference Cal, though, the Demon Deacons are now staring at needing to win at least two of their last three games, against UNC, Duke, and Miami, to get to the six-win mark — which means they’re in real danger of missing out on a postseason for two years in a row.
Most of the matchups between UNC and Wake Forest in recent years have been absolute barn-burners, and with the way this Deacs team has been playing this season, this upcoming game is shaping up to continue that trend.
