Jae’Lyn Withers recorded his second double-double of the season in the Tar Heels 81-66 win over Virginia Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill. Withers scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Carolina in both categories.
Withers was active from the opening tipoff, recording three points, three rebounds, an assist and a block in the opening minutes of the game as UNC raced out to a 21-4 lead over the Wahoos. He ended the first half as the Heels leading scorer with 11 points and would finish the game shooting a tidy 5-8 from the field, including 4-6 from long range and 2-3 from the free throw line.
