Picking a player of the game after a dominant win can be difficult. Generally, after a win like Carolina’s 41-14 win over Virginia, there are multiple people who contributed to the victory. This game was no exception; players up and down the roster contributed on both sides of the ball. It’s a bit of a cop-out, but I’m picking the entire UNC defense as player of the game.
The defense was sharp from the beginning; after holding Virginia to a field goal while recording a sack on their first possession, the Heels really upped the pressure on Cavaliers QB Anthony Colandrea.
