Three games, three different kinds of losses. The surprise butt-kicking courtesy of JMU, the second-half collapse giving Duke an epic comeback, and this past weekend, a more or less regular football game where the better team won. It’s almost a relief for the most recent UNC loss to not be one that’s making national headlines, and I think that says just about all that needs to be said about the state of the program (though to be fair, Alabama’s loss to Vanderbilt probably would have upstaged anything UNC could have done). I said last week that writing these evaluations feels a bit like that old cliche about deck chairs on the Titanic.
