Another day, another disappointing performance from the Tar Heels. Going into this game, I knew that the offense would likely have a bad time with the Panthers’ defense. Pat Narduzzi loves throwing blitzes at every turn, which also impacted how much damage Omarion Hampton was able to do. Thankfully there was one guy that managed to have a really good game, which was refreshing after his lackluster performance against Duke. That man is Nate McCollum.
McCollum finished his afternoon with 10 catches for 128 yards. He was targeted by Jacolby Criswell the most out of any receiver, and he made sure to capitalize on every opportunity he got to gash the Panthers’ defense.
